Greetings EBC Family & Friends,
Welcome to a new and awesome Discipleship Year!
This discipleship season offers an unparalleled opportunity for us to grow in ways that many of us have hoped and others can scarcely imagine. The word of the Lord found in Jeremiah 29:11 states,
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord,
“plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future.”
It is this truth, God’s truth, along with its unfolding and fulfillment in our lives that is our focus for the 2014‐2015 Discipleship Year.
James Cash Penney, businessman and founder of J.C. Penney was right when he said, “Growth is never by mere chance; it is the result of forces working together.” Now is the time for us to work together and do our part to grow exponentially in every area of our lives, (i.e. spiritually, emotionally, in our faith, in our relationships, friendships and familial bounds). This is our season to discover the future God has for us both personally and as members, active participants in God’s holy family. In order to experience the fullness of what God has for us, we’ve got to roll up our sleeves, open the pages of His holy word and commit to following His divine plan; GOD’S BLUEPRINT.
In addition to the courses outlined in the brochure’s seven levels, there are a host of experiences that are yet on the drafting table. Future sessions open to all include B.O.T.M. (Book Of The Month) and The Bible and the Big Screen. There will also be special sessions for leadership which will include How to Start a New Ministry, Moving Your Ministry Forward and “CE&D” Christian Education & Development. Finally, you don’t want to miss out on the new offerings taught by our Senior Pastor, the Reverend Anthony L. Trufant.
Take some time now to review The Blueprint, and make your course selections. Sessions begin September 10th. All you need to get started is to be present and willing to grow.
In Christ Service,
