JANUARY & FEBRUARY PROJECTS

Saturday, January 14th:
Children of Promise, NYC (9:45AM-2:00PM)Location: 54 MacDonough St, Bklyn

 

Children of Promise, NYC (CPNYC) is a community based, non-profit organization, in Bedford-Stuyvesant (Bed Stuy) Brooklyn, whose mission is to embrace the children of incarcerated parents and empower them to break the cycle of intergenerational involvement in the criminal justice system.
Service Project: Saturday Resource Tutoring Center (Academic Tutoring: reading, tutoring, crafts. Ages 6-14)

Saturday, February 25th:
Living Waters Fellowship (9:00AM-12:00PMLocation: 265 Stanhope Street, Bklyn

 

Serve Breakfast and Build Relationships
Volunteers prepare and serve a delicious breakfast to over 100 guests, including the elderly, children, and the homeless. Volunteers will set up, cook, serve food/drinks, bus tables and clean. Those who are interested can also visit guests at the tables to offer conversation and prayer.

MARCH PROJECTS

Saturday, March 4th-Sports Explorers PS 599 K (9:00AM-11:00AM)
Location: The Brooklyn Landmark Elementary School, Bklyn

 

Exercise your mind and body, working with 3rd through 5th graders who attend Saturday academy. Play a variety of sports and games and introduce students to the benefits of physical activity. Perfect for volunteers looking to start off 2017 in a healthy and fun way!

Saturday, March 11th-Brooklyn Teen Challenge (8:00AM-1:00PM)
Location: 444 Clinton Ave, Bklyn

 

Pack and Distribute Pantry Bags: Volunteers will work alongside Teen Challenge residents to set up tables and supplies, pack bags filled with groceries, and distribute the bags to low-income families in the neighborhood.

EBC members and friends participate in a day of service in their community.

Location: 352-358 Classon Ave, Bklyn

 

Do you have excellent administrative and organization skills? CDSC needs your help with getting their house in order. EBC volunteers will assist CDSC with what is described as a “massive filing project”. The mission of CDSC is to provide programs that empower families by helping them to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for successful living in today’s society.
